About Sand Changes
Filter sand doesn't last forever — over time the grains wear smooth and channel, so they stop trapping debris and your water turns hazy no matter how much you clean. A sand change restores your filter to like-new performance.
- Old, worn sand removed and disposed of
- Filter tank inspected and flushed
- Laterals and standpipe checked for damage
- Fresh pool-grade filter sand added to spec
- System backwashed, rinsed, and pressure-checked
Most sand filters need fresh media every 5–7 years. If your water stays cloudy, your filter pressure climbs fast, or you're backwashing constantly, it's usually time for a change — and we'll handle the whole job.
